Yahoo!! - Newsfile Corp. and Olympia Trust Corporate & Shareholder Services hosted a Rip-Roaring Calgary Stampede party. This party was held at the Wildhorse Saloon Festival Tent in downtown Calgary on July 11, 2023.
We were happy to share the entire afternoon with great colleagues, clients and friends. Moreover, we loved taking part in the Stampede spirit.
A Calgary Stampede Party at The Wildhorse Saloon
The Wildhorse Saloon is a great place to host a Stampede party. Newsfile and Olympia enjoyed a private corral in the middle of all the action where we were able to connect with friends.
The tent is located in the heart of downtown Calgary. It features daily concerts, western barbecue, Double Zero pizza, a non-stop dance floor, an outdoor midway, and 20+ bars serving drinks that will get you kicking up your heels on the dance floor.
Record Attendance for The 2023 Calgary Stampede
This year, the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth turned out to be a record-breaking year for attendance. In fact, 1,384,632 people attended the Stampede this year. The average daily attendance at the grounds was 125,050.
This is the second highest attendance record in the Stampede's 111-year history.
The all time highest record of attendance prior to this year was in 2012 when approximately 1.4 million people went through the turnstiles. Indeed, the Calgary Stampede celebrated its 100-year history in 2012.
The Calgary Stampede Attracts Business from all Sectors
Deborah Yedlin, president of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, said the Stampede attracts those from all sectors including hospitality, tech, agriculture, finance and more.
"We've never seen the tech sector as visible as it was," she said. "Lot of events hosted by the tech sector, which was phenomenal … in addition to the agriculture and the energy folks and the finance folks also being very, very visible.
"It was an incredible Stampede, there's no question about it."
Newsfile and Olympia Trust Corporate & Shareholder Services loved hosting the 2023 and 2022 Stampede party. But, we look forward to 2024 where we will host another Stampede party again. We can't wait to dust off our boots and cowboy hats next year!
